This is all of our favorite things rolled into one. This tour explores the Red Cliff Sea Caves and the Fedora Shipwreck at night with lights. This tour is described as 2-3 miles because some people like to turn around after the music and shipwreck, while others like to paddle to the sea cave. You can decide which you prefer while on the tour because we have two guides, one for 2hr and one for anyone that wants to do the full 3 hour. The tour starts with a sweet serenade from traditional Ojibwe musicians playing from the pageant grounds as the sounds of their ancestors echo across Gitche Gumee and escort us out to the South Channel. Our first stop is the 300 ft long shipwreck, Fedora, in very shallow water. Your guides will be equipped with lights to light up the water as you take in this ancient shipwreck under our beautiful night skies. The sky is another highlight of this tour because from July 23rd to August 20th we have the chance of catching some of the Perseids meteor shower (Perseids Meteor show will be best from August 1 to August 13th) and you never know when the Northern Lights might make an appearance. This tour also has a sea cave and we only need to paddle 1 mile from where we launch to get to the sea caves that we have lit up for you on this tour. Listening to water echo and splash in the caves with the sounds of Ojibwe flute musing playing in your head as blue and green meteors streak across the sky may sound like a dream. Welcome to the Apostle Islands, where dreams come to life.
